Electric bus depots need an unobstructed and hazard-free space where buses and personnel can move.
When needed, the charging plugs will be lowered from the roof after the bus stopped for recharging. This operation is controlled by a push-button for safety reasons; for the same reason up and down motions are low speed with limited torque and end stops.
Conductix-Wampfler charging reels for bus depots are built around our very reliable slip rings to support the high static charging current over the long term.
From a standard design base, they are adjusted to your machine by our experts.

Specification
- Monospiral spools made from steel sheets up to 1 m diameter
- European-made electric gearmotor with control box to assure the safety functions
- Low Voltage Reeling slip ring up to 800 V with static ampacity up to 270 A, and silver-plated signal rings for consistent plug temperatures measurement and secure data exchange between the bus and the charger
- Reeling cables equipped with CCS Type 2 plugs to the IEC62196 standard for 7 m paid-out length
- Option of remote control from Jay series for specific installation cases where wiring is difficult
