Electric bus depots need an unobstructed and hazard-free space where buses and personnel can move.

When needed, the charging plugs will be lowered from the roof after the bus stopped for recharging. This operation is controlled by a push-button for safety reasons; for the same reason up and down motions are low speed with limited torque and end stops.

Conductix-Wampfler charging reels for bus depots are built around our very reliable slip rings to support the high static charging current over the long term.

From a standard design base, they are adjusted to your machine by our experts.

FAQ

How do you ensure uninterrupted dialogue between the charging station and the bus?

We use silver-plated signal rings and silver alloy brushes to reliably transmit the PWM signal supporting the dialogue between the bus and the charger and the temperature measurement through the PT1000 sensors included in the plugs.
